About This Report

The Site Search Performance is a powerful report to evaluate content relevance on the site.
We have developed our own methodology for assessing content relevance with the main KPI – Search Relevance Index. It shows user behavior and engagement after the usage of the site search. Search Relevance is based on 4 Google Analytics metrics:

Results Pageviews per Search – the number of page views of search result pages per search (exclude Search Exits)
% Search Exits – the number of exits from your site that occurred following a result from an internal search.
% Search Refinements – the total number of times a refinement (transition) occurs between internal search keywords within a session.
Time after Search – the number of time users spend on the site after performing a search.

The report is ideal for sites that have dozens of content to analyze what search terms are relevant and determine the major content gaps.
